From dentistry to mortgage lending, VC firms were busy making investments last month on the NYC tech scene. Several companies pulled in robust nine-digit funding rounds and have big plans for the road ahead.

This latest funding round brings Paxos’ total valuation to $2.4 billion, reportedly making it one of the fastest growing fintech startups in the world. The company will use the money to invest in its platform, grow its team and scale its operations.

Paxos says it wants to double its current headcount of 130 people in the next year. It has more than 20 open tech positions right now.
