Aranguren is a technologist at heart, so when she joined Nomad as an engineering manager, she focused on developing people, strategy and management skills. She also rethought her approach to work. Understanding that leaders join projects to ensure a positive outcome, Aranguren sees her role as stepping in where and when she’s needed. That became especially evident after she developed a proposal for Nomad’s credentialing system. “I was thinking more like an individual contributor,” she said. “My manager pushed me to lean into one of our company values: dream big.” So Aranguren did.
