Salary Range: $90,000.00- $100,000.00 (On Target Earning)

The Opportunity

Kargo is looking for a Senior Analyst with 2+ years of experience working in data analytics at an Ad Tech or Media company to join the Analytics team. The successful candidate will have a background working with product and engineering datasets (Ad Products, Identity, Targeting, Measurement, CTV Video, Bidding and Outcomes, Programmatic Liquidity, etc.) and will work closely with different business units to build self-service analytics solutions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Adtech and who is eager to take ownership of highly technical topics to build data products that serve both technical and commercial stakeholders.

The Daily To-Do

  • You will work closely with various teams to answer any questions about our datasets for business stakeholders
  • You will take a leadership role within the Analytics team by becoming the subject matter expert for Product & Engineering datasets, including GTM data for new Ad Products, Backend Systems Integration, Auction Model Optimization, Audience Solutions, etc
  • You will collaborate with commercial teams to provide scalable self-service analytics solutions
  • You will become familiar with our ETL pipelines and tech stack (Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, Looker) and build new data models which you will leverage to create visualizations in Looker for your stakeholders
  • You will lead conversations with different commercial and product stakeholders, and own any analytics deliverables
  • You will collaborate closely with Data Engineering to ensure upstream data is being reported correctly and consistently for business users
  • You will perform ad-hoc analyses as required by the business
  • You will help promote data literacy at Kargo and create trainings + documentation to help answer any questions on the datasets that we manage
  • You will be responsible for sharing your expertise and mentoring the junior analysts on the team

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or Computer Science (Master’s Degree a plus)
  • Expertise in SQL and 2+ years experience in Python or R
  • Experience in ETL and data warehousing concepts
  • 2+ years of experience working in a data engineering, analytics, or technical data analytics role at an Adtech or Media Company
  • 2+ years of experience working with business visualization tools, such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Sigma, Omni (or equivalent)
  • dbt experience preferred
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets) and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
  • Project management, planning and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly self-motivated and intellectually curious
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly when explaining technical or complex matters to less technical co-workers
  • Media company experience preferred
