About the Role:
The SDR & BDR Manager will be a senior member of the Business and Sales Development team, responsible for enabling SDRs (inbound) and BDRs (outbound) to be successful in their roles by motivating the team and leading by example.
Working closely with the VP of Global Business Development, the BDR Manager will be an approachable, friendly resource for all members of the team.
What you'll do:
- Manage a team of 3 Inbound SDRs and 7 Outbound BDRs for the North American market
- Bring energy and motivation to the team by offering encouragement and leading by example, ensuring the team reaches their monthly targets
- Identify and assist in the creation of team incentives, to better drive performance across North America
- Help to develop and maintain a sales and business development playbook with processes and best practices such as sales sequence, sales pitches, call scripts, email templates and qualification tactics to ensure efficiency and consistent conveyance of our current messaging
- Be at hand to answer any questions the team might have in relation to sales-technique, sales-process, product or integrations
- Lead 1-1s, listen to calls, read emails, and identify areas for development
- Represent Aircall with integrity and professionalism at all times, and escalate your inputs to Managers
- Contribute to some strategic projects for the outbound BDR Team
What you'll bring:
- 2+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the software/technology industry in a manager capacity
- Proven track record of success in outbound prospecting, lead generation, or inside sales
- Experience working in the SaaS and / or tech space at a high growth scale up
- Experience leading a consultative sales process that focuses on outbound prospecting
- You’re an extremely clear and direct communicator, you aren’t afraid to ask questions to get to the bottom of things, and you have excellent and engaging verbal and written communication skills
- An enthusiastic and positive attitude
- You are a big picture thinker but have the ability to zoom in and out as needed
- The ability to stay calm & even keeled under pressure
- People Management:
- You love to motivate, develop, inspire, coach, and train a team
- Ability to identify trends and patterns from data and translate data and metrics into actionable business insights for your team and cross-functional teams
- You are able to quickly build trust with your team while holding them accountable to their goals
- You are a self starter:
- You’re resourceful and scrappy: you will figure out what you need quickly to get the job done and get the team’s opportunities qualified and across the finish line
- You don’t wait for answers to come to you, you go out and find answers
- You are a lifelong learner and learn from failure: We’re risk-takers. Trying, succeeding, failing — and trying again — are essential to who we are as a team and company
