Accounts Receivable Specialist

Reports to: Director of Accounting Operations

Location: Remote US

Compensation Range: $65,000 to $75,000 base plus bonus and equity

What You’ll Do:

Huntress is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Specialist to our accounting team. You’ll be responsible for various duties surrounding the customer accounting and accounts receivables processes, including collecting payments, responding to customer inquiries, processing refunds, and sales tax compliance. We’ll look to you to find areas of opportunity for process improvement, automation, and documentation. You’ll work closely with other members of the accounting and finance team, along with cross-departmental stakeholders.

Huntress has ambitious growth goals, including product expansion and headcount growth. Your role will actively contribute to these overarching goals and help to fuel the company’s exponential growth.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the main point of contact within accounting for all customer-related inquiries
• Be the accounting main point of contact for all things Stripe, our billing and collections platform
• Answer internal questions and customer inquiries through email, phone, Slack, and Zendesk, our ticketing system
• Follow up with delinquent customers and write off uncollectible accounts
• Collect sales tax exemption forms from customers who qualify for exemption
• Assist with monthly sales tax reconciliations and help monitor sales tax compliance
• Collaborate and communicate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed
• Contribute to process and documentation improvements

What You Bring to the Team:

• 2+ years of experience, preferably in accounting and/or accounts receivable
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities with demanding timeframes, maintaining a high attention to detail
• Ability to independently research and resolve tasks with minimal supervision with awareness and motivation to collaborate when necessary
• Experience working as part of a small team with varied responsibilities and comfortable navigating multiple, shifting priorities in a hyper-growth environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information to both internal and external stakeholders
• Experience working in a fully remote organization is preferred
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets and G Suite skills
