Frequently Asked Questions

Team Dynamics & Collaboration

At Kustomer, collaboration isn't just a buzzword. It's how work actually gets done. Teams are cross-functional by design, and the day-to-day runs on a mix of Slack, Asana, and Linear, with regular standups that keep everyone in the loop without turning into status theater. People know who owns what, async norms are real and respected, and shared goals mean no one's optimizing in a silo.

Leaders here trust their managers to work through friction directly, and disagreement is genuinely welcome, not just tolerated. The result is a team that moves fast, communicates openly, and actually likes working together. Built In has taken notice too, recognizing Kustomer for its teamwork and culture more than once.

Recognition Practices

At Kustomer, recognition is embedded into the culture and celebrated both formally and informally throughout the year.

Each quarter, employees have the opportunity to nominate peers for the Krew Choice Awards. Two awards are given which honors individuals who go above and beyond to elevate the customer experience, and exemplify collaboration and show up for their teammates.

Winners are announced at the company-wide Town Hall and receive special recognition. On an annual basis, one standout Krew member is selected for the Kusty Kup; the highest peer recognition at Kustomer.

Top performers on the Go-to-Market team are recognized through President's Club, an exclusive achievement that celebrates those who consistently exceed their goals and demonstrate outstanding results.

Beyond structured programs, recognition happens organically and often. Company-wide shoutouts are shared at Town Halls and team meetings, where peers can submit kudos in advance to celebrate colleagues' wins, milestones, work anniversaries, promotions, and personal achievements.

It is a culture where great work is seen by the entire company.
