The Technical Program Manager at Provi will drive alignment and prioritization of the integrations pipeline, manage complex projects across sales, product, and engineering teams, and ensure timely updates and resolution of project issues. The role includes coordinating project stages, identifying optimization opportunities, leading transitions to new technologies, and promoting best practices.
Summary Generated by Built In

In 2016, we founded Provi as an innovative ordering solution, aimed to disrupt the 240-billion dollar alcohol industry with a product that would move beyond the constant chaos: the texts, paper stacks, missed phone calls and lost communication that has dominated the purchasing workflow between buyers and distributors for decades.

Today, Provi is better than ever. We’ve created a best-in-class ordering solution that better connects beverage alcohol professionals across 35 states and growing, with more than 750,000 product listings that make up the most expansive and trusted database of U.S. distributor portfolios.

Provi is looking to fuel its growth by hiring a Technical Program Manager focused on the Integrations Portfolio to work alongside the engineering and businesses teams bringing Provi to new customers and upgrading existing customers. We are looking for someone who is accustomed to working with sales, engineering, and product teams to manage an integration portfolio. In this role, you will work directly with these teams to understand the pipeline for integrations and prioritize it accordingly to meet business needs. We have phenomenal customer interest and are looking for you to help bring Provi to even more customers and retailers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive alignment, prioritization and transparency for stakeholders on our Distributor integrations pipeline considering business objectives and goals
  • Coordinate and centralize the status of many integrations projects at various stages of the integration lifecycle working with Sales, Product, Support and Engineering Leads
  • Partner with other managers and teams to optimize team utilization and project coverage to enable more thorough updates to better predict team resourcing and availability
  • Identify opportunities for Product and Engineering to streamline and scale integrations
  • Lead large projects to transition existing integrations to new technologies
  • Identify, capture, and promote best practices, tools, and tactics to enable faster and broader adoption of Provi integrations
  • Partner with Engineering Leads to escalate any issues delaying project milestones for integrations to the executive management team with a plan to mitigate delay if appropriate by engaging with key customers and ERP contacts as needed
  • Become familiar with the complex end-to-end process to onboard and upgrade distributors within the alcohol beverage industry
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify recurring knowledge, documentation, and feature gaps and coordinate to fill them
  • Understand the upcoming Product Roadmap and how it impacts the integrations pipeline
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to measure against critical OKRs for the integrations portfolio

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical program manager, or related experience
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs that have highly technical foundations and require effective communication and decision making with technical teams
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence, SQL, Salesforce, and Project Management Tools
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master Certification or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfort in communicating nuanced, and often technical, concepts to internal stakeholders or external partners.
  • The ability to effectively engage and manage expectations and understanding with varied stakeholders. This includes executive sponsors, business leaders, project sponsors, and other key stakeholders involved in integration initiatives.
  • A mindset that encourages a culture of continuous improvement within the integration portfolio.
  • Hands on experience with SQL, ERPs, cloud data warehouses and data lake platforms is a bonus
  • Experience working in the Beverage Alcohol Industry or similar is a bonus
