About the Position
We are seeking a Talent Development Specialist to join our team. The Talent Development team works on a variety of projects including the creation and facilitation of management and professional skills content for all Jane Street employees incorporating both asynchronous and synchronous learning, along with other approaches like coaching, mentoring, and more.
You’ll need a firm grasp of how people learn, alongside excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills. You should also have some experience managing complex projects.
Additional responsibilities of this role will include:
- Build out and manage executive coaching and mentoring programs
- Evaluate, select, and onboard external partners
- Perform research and needs analysis required to develop thoughtful programming
- Develop and facilitate training programs and group discussions (e.g., new manager and communication skills programs)
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Partner effectively with HR Partners and other internal groups like Trading, Tech, and Infrastructure
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or higher; an advanced degree (MBA or MA in organization development or similar) is a plus
- 10+ years of work experience in talent development or similar role (e.g., human resources, organizational design, learning design, program development), including hands-on experience implementing L&D programs
- Able to handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment with little structure and hierarchy
- Excellent speaking, writing, and people skills
- Has experience developing and managing relationships with external partners
- Proactive and organized with a strong attention to detail
- Has strong analytical and problem solving skills; comfortable organizing and analyzing data
- Discreet and trustworthy; able to maintain the highest levels of internal and external confidentiality
- Familiar with exceptional talent and high-performing cultures
- Has a proven ability to work with all levels of employees and build credibility throughout an organization
- Able to provide advice and coaching to other members of the HR team on talent topics
- Strategic thinker who is able to see the entire system and make recommendations, while at the same time enjoying being hands on and getting the tiny details right
