Make Your Mark:

  • BlackLine is seeking a Senior GTM Operations Manager to join our Revenue Operations Team reporting directly to the Senior Director GTM Operations and Variable Compensation. This role will lead the annual incentive compensation plan design and collaborate with Finance, HR, Technology teams, and other stakeholders to transform and optimize the design, governance, and administration of our incentive compensation plan portfolio.
  • This role will require a firm grasp of the administrative process flow for incentive compensation, including plan document distribution and tracking; transaction crediting; incentive calculations; payment file preparation; and issue resolution. Familiarity with a diverse set of incentive compensation plans and metrics is key.
  • It is the responsibility of this role to manage the day-to-day incentive compensation process within Revenue Operations and with the assistance of two Senior Analysts, ensure deliverables are provided to business partners and customers in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.
  • This position will require a results-oriented self-starter who is organized, team-focused, and possesses a strong work ethic while leveraging relationships to ensure deadlines are met. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively, and craft compelling narratives to influence business and technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization.


You'll Get To:

  • Organize and present annual plan updates to various payee groups, including creating and presenting training materials.
  • Oversee administration of incentive compensation plans, plan exceptions, inquiry management, and requests from Participants
  • Quota assignment process for various Sales roles.
  • Analyze all aspects of the incentive compensation programs to gauge its effectiveness
  • Coordinate with other supporting teams within Accounting, Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate and timely payout of incentives including performing necessary approvals.
  • Perform complex data modeling and analytics related to sales commissions and incentive programs, effectiveness, costing, and projections, and overall effectiveness of the IPS program
  • Implement and administer compensation policies and various programs including SPIFFs.
  • Generate and manage the BLIP (BlackLine Incentive Plan) and IPS (Individual Plan Summary) documents partnering with HR and Legal to ensure adherence to local laws and regulations.
  • Contributes to scorecard and reporting for GTM leadership and executive teams
  • Provide Sales Management with monthly updates on sales performance and support capacity planning.


What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience in Related Field: 8+
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Salesforce.com platform
  • Experience with Varicent, Anaplan ICM, Xactly, Callidus or a similar ICM tool
  • Power-user proficiency in Excel data analysis, experience working with large and complicated data sets
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles


Other:

  • 8+ years of experience in incentive compensation within GTM Operations, Finance or Consulting, including 4+ years of experience in B2B SaaS (software-as-a-service) environments
  • Ability to follow professional and legal protocols when working with personal information that is sensitive or confidential.
  • Ability to communicate and present complicated topics.
  • Well versed in Sales Performance Management metrics and protocols.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, including ability to operate in ambiguity and establishing frameworks to apply to emerging business problems
  • Proven project management experience; successfully leading and completing projects
  • Strong organization and execution skills, including ability to operate independently and drive strategic initiatives from ideation to end outcomes
  • Analyze trends and provide recommendations for strategic improvements
  • Possesses excellent analytical skills and can synthesize large data sets into actionable insights for the business
  • Collaborative and able to build productive and positive relationships across the team and with your business stakeholders
  • High motivation for continuous improvement and ability to drive impact in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a group audience, facilitate solutioning and lead discussions such as implementation methodology, Road mapping, Enterprise Transformation strategy, and executive-level requirement gathering sessions
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets, dashboards, charts, and reports that present data in a clear and accurate manner
  • Understanding of standard business practices related to Sales Compensation processes and Sales Incentive Compensation Management Software

Salary Range:
USD $134,000.00 - USD $179,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
