Job Description
The Senior Facilities Project Manager (SFPM) will be responsible to handle both large and small-scale projects within the NBCUniversal real estate portfolio in NY and NJ.
The successful candidate will work with other members of the Operations and Technology (O&T) team to ensure that deliverables are within the applicable scope of work and budget. Project will include general tenant improvement project and technical project supporting broadcast operations for various clients.
The SFPM will lead each project from inception through closeout and will be responsible for the following items:
- Manage third party project management resources that may be retained for individual projects
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party consultants (architects, engineers and specialty consultants), vendors and contractors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure all projects are delivered on-time and within budget
- With the help of internal subject matter experts, manage the creation of the Project Charter that defines the of scope of work, project schedule, budget and objectives
- Manage changes in the project scope of work and schedule and confirm that such changes are acceptable within the O&T project master plan
- Coordinate with the NBCU Sourcing department and manage the selection of consultants, contractors and vendors required for the project
- Report and escalate issues that could affect the project to O&T management team
- Manage the relationship between internal and third-party resources
- Assemble documents and presentation required to achieve approval of the project scope of work. Verify that the items being presented are with the project budget and can be delivered within the project schedule
- Track and report on the Anticipated Cost for the project compared to the project budget
- Chair weekly project coordination meetings. Distribute minutes of the meeting noting project status and items that need to be accomplished noting people that are responsible for to complete the task
- Manage and approve the incorporation of construction activities into the NBCU Work Flow schedule
- Develop, track and monitor project cash flow for the design, construction and fit-out of the project
- Review consultant, contractor and vendor invoices and verify that the amounts requested are acceptable and represent the status of completed work
- Review contractor applications for payment and verify that amounts requested represent work in place for the project
- Receive and review partial and final release of lien documents for payments made to the General Contractor and to subcontractors as shown on the application for payment
- Develop interim schedule milestone dates for specific deliverables. Track and monitor status of these milestones through the delivery of the project
- Partner with Client Service Leaders (CSL)to develop swing plans as required to implement the project scope of work
- Coordinate with the CSL to facilitate the move(s) as required for the project
- Manage the close-out of the project including the creation of punch lists, managing completion and sign-off of these punch lists, receiving close-out document from contractors and vendors and the sign-off of all administrative agency permits and applications
- Ensure that all documents are filed and maintained in the O&T shared project filing system
- Assemble post-mortem reports for completed projects listing accomplishments, challenges and solutions applied to achieve project results.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years working experience in owner's representation project management role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Able to handle multiple project of various sizes simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project software systems
- Ability to create short and long term business plans
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present ideas to clients
- Willingness to work overtime, and on weekends with short notice

- Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
- This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
