Job Summary
The Senior Director, Field Logistics is a key leadership position within the Optimum Supply Chain & Logistics organization, with leadership and accountability for the warehouse operations and material planning for our Western region. With over 100 current regional warehouse locations within scope, the Sr. Director will provide support and direction to a logistics workforce supporting field technicians, repair and maintenance technicians, installation, and contractor workforces. This position will interact regularly with leadership teams across the business, including supply chain planning, operations, and analytics to identify and implement process improvements within the network.
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations and quality of regional warehouse fulfillment centers
  • Implements KPIs and Metrics to track business success and motivate workforce
  • Accountable for ensuring inventory is planned, tracked, and issued at all locations; including adherence to regular cycle count activities as required by the business
  • Regularly meets with leadership teams across construction, engineering, installation, and field services to support materials and inventory demand planning process
  • Identifies and addresses operational quality and/or performance issues of materials, equipment, fleet, and/or operations
  • Manages a workforce to optimize performance by effectively prioritizing work, delegating responsibilities, and communicating clearly and consistently across all levels of the organization
  • Leverages industry best practices to create opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiencies, and inventory management
  • Regularly travels within the region to audit operations, implement new processes, and support field managers in administrative activities
  • Performs managerial functions, such as, mentoring, coaching, training, administering performance reviews, conducting disciplinary actions, approving timesheets, and interviewing employment candidates
  • Ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of general warehouse management oversight
  • Maintain a valid US Driver's License - Candidate may be issued a company vehicle
  • Deep understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
  • Experience with direct management of hourly employee workforce
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $161,186.00 - $190,000.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
