Senior Brand Engineer @ Clay
Clay is seeking a talented Senior Brand Engineer to play a key role in creating a cohesive, beautiful experience that tells the story of the creativity, flexibility, and power of Clay. Our marketing website is critical to Clay’s success: This is where millions of customers visit and learn about the company and the product.
In this role, you'll push the boundaries of what a brand can look like on the web. From the start, one thing is clear—Clay is not your average data-driven-growth startup. We are dedicated to pushing the bar for experiences, making people feel special, and creating something delightful and unique.
This role will elevate our craft and create delightful experiences across our website—from core product pages to defined sub-initiatives like events and community, as well as experimental pages like campaigns and announcement pages.
What You’ll Do

Create rich, interactive web experiences. You’ll craft delightful, immersive experiences that elevate the Clay brand—from launching new product pages to groundbreaking experimental web projects. You will design through iteration, experimentation, and learned user behaviors, ensuring a seamless experience for Clay’s customers at various stages of their journey.

Build a flexible design framework. You’ll develop adaptable design systems that maintain brand integrity while meeting diverse stakeholder needs. You have a track record of going beyond standard design to create unique experiences that resonate with customers while ensuring consistency. You will design and develop scalable, responsive frameworks across Clay.com.

Collaborate across teams. You’ll partner directly with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Community, and more) to create extraordinary interactive web experiences. You bring creative solutions and the ability to execute them with precision across Clay.com.

Design best-in-class web layouts. You’ll create rapid prototypes to effectively communicate and validate design concepts, iterating quickly to bring ideas to life. You’ll push the boundaries of web design, developing resources that inspire millions to better understand Clay’s capabilities while ensuring the brand stands out in the market.

What You'll Bring
-
Have 5+ years of experience in visual design for the web.
-
Experience building web experiences in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Webflow CMS, with familiarity with Three.js, GSAP, Next.js, and React development.

A strong attention to technical details and a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the formal elements of graphic design, including typography, color, layout, and composition.

Thrive in web design—not just trends—but have the curiosity to stay educated on new technologies.

Can demonstrate strong skills in interface and interaction design through a portfolio of well-crafted work on interactive sites, design systems, data visualization, or similar.

Have a demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, quickly adapt to changes, manage your time, and prioritize your work in a fast-paced environment.

Are an excellent collaborator, keeping stakeholders informed and cross-functional teams aware of your work and progress.
