Senior Brand Designer @ Clay
Clay is seeking a talented Senior Brand Designer to elevate our visual brand identity and bring ideas to life through engaging physical and digital experiences. Clay’s visual identity is experimental and has a huge opportunity to grow and expand into new programs for Clay.
As a Senior Brand Designer, you will play a key part in defining and exploring what the future of the brand is in various media, such as physical experiences like in-person conferences and digital experiences through motion and static assets.
In this role, you will collaborate closely across teams like marketing, events, and customer success to drive the brand forward and advocate for a high bar of brand storytelling, layouts, and craft alongside our design team. We are looking to push the boundaries and experiment with the brand—we don’t shy away from finding new creative ways to inspire customers with our craft. We want to make people feel special.
What You’ll Do
-
Enhance Clay’s brand obsession. You’ll lead brand design experiences and executions that don’t just push the Clay brand forward—they make it memorable. From marketing campaigns and events to website experiences and standout branded moments, you'll craft a brand that resonates with our customers. Your work will span across physical materials, digital assets, and motion design, ensuring every touchpoint feels cohesive and impactful.
-
Build flexible design systems. You build adaptable design systems that stay true to the brand while evolving across new contexts and stakeholder needs. You don’t settle for the expected—you create unique experiences that push the bar and break the mold while maintaining cohesion and impact.
-
Collaborate across teams. You thrive in cross-functional partnerships, working closely with Marketing, Product, Community, and beyond to build experiences for our user conferences, events, OOH campaigns, and more. You will come eager with creative solutions and the ability to execute them with attention to detail.
-
Deliver delight. You'll collaborate closely with the brand studio to provide thoughtful feedback, conduct reviews, and continuously raise the bar for design. Your work will elevate the brand experience.
-
Push the boundaries of customer obsession with the brand. Our team enjoys a ton of experimental freedom, and we’re always looking for ways to improve, even when the method isn’t 100% proven.
What You'll Bring
-
Have 5+ years of experience in visual design for marketing and brand design.
-
Can provide a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex problems through graphic design elements—including typography, color, layout, and composition.

-
Are an excellent collaborator, keeping stakeholders informed and cross-functional teams aware of your work and progress.
-
Ability to independently prioritize work and thrive in ambiguity, quickly adapt to changes, manage your time, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-
Are deeply familiar with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Illustrator—and can quickly get up to speed in new tools. Bonus points if you have motion and animation experience.
