About the role:
Are you looking for a highly motivated team working together to build a category defining product driving massive social impact? The Business Development Associate will play a key role in expanding our network of mission-driven brands leading the way in their respective categories as we grow from a team of 10 to >50 this year.
As with any fast-growing, early-stage team, responsibilities are likely to evolve. The Business Development Associate can expect to work closely with 3-4 other members of our growing BD team, Beam’s Chief of Staff, and Beam’s CEO to support key Business Development activities, including:
· Identifying high-potential new brand partners to join the Beam community
· Owning the creation and execution of outbound email campaigns
· Analyzing campaign trends and performance to make recommendations about partnership targeting and messaging optimization
· Collaborating with Beam's Director of Business Development, Chief of Staff, and CEO to iterate on messaging to optimize our outbound playbook by vertical
· Cultivating inbound leads
About you
This is an autonomous role for someone early in their career who wants to join a company on a path to major scale while creating tremendous social good. As a foundational member of the Business Development team, you’ll have mentorship and the opportunity to grow into an independent, client-facing role, or a leading operational role on the team. The ideal candidate is process-driven, detail-oriented, excellent at written communication, driven by impact, and energized by a challenge.
We are open to many profiles for this role. Some examples of promising former experience include:
· 0-2 years of experience, particularly in partnerships-oriented roles
· Having founded a nonprofit / startup
· Having worked on a political campaign

As customers track their impact towards goals as a community, like funding 100 hours of free therapy for Queer and Trans teens, our platform builds connection and lifts LTV. We lift AOV by 15%, boost conversion by 11%, and convert 30% more customers to make a second purchase within 90 days
