Puck seeks a Product Management Lead to play a key role in shaping the product strategy with a user-centric mindset and prioritization of initiatives. You will lead the development and execution of innovative product initiatives that drive growth and deliver high-impact, on-time results. The Product Management Lead will report to the Director of Engineering and work closely with Puck’s editorial, marketing, sales, engineering and data teams to align product efforts with the company’s mission and business goals. This candidate will have a deep understanding of Puck’s unique brand voice and audience, translating those insights into impactful product opportunities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong collaborator, an effective communicator, detail oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
This role is located in Puck's New York headquarters. Remote candidates will not be considered.
Primary Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will excel in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder communication, and strategic planning. You will work closely with engineering, marketing, data, and leadership teams to ensure product development stays on track and meets business objectives.
- Discovery Ownership: Manage discovery efforts and product market research to uncover customer solutions and de-risk resource investments with thorough consumer use case and stakeholder expectation exploration before engaging engineering.
- Feature Definition: Define product features and develop detailed requirements for new and updated products and features, ensuring all initiatives align with key stakeholder objectives.
- Project Estimation: Lead project estimation and ensure on-time delivery by collaborating with cross-functional teams to set realistic timelines, manage expectations, and meet deadlines.
- Backlog Management: Maintain a meticulously organized product backlog, accurately tracking all initiatives—large and small—to prioritize effectively and drive strategic outcomes in alignment with business goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5-9 years of professional experience delivering impactful, innovative products, preferably in media or publishing.
- Proven ability to launch high-impact products in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Strong organizational and executional skills, with expertise in prioritizing tasks, managing roadmaps, and meeting deadlines in dynamic settings.
- Experienced at leading discovery efforts, conducting market research, and uncovering customer-driven solutions.
- Strategic thinker with a talent for aligning product initiatives with business goals.
- Analytical expertise in defining success metrics, tracking performance, and making data-driven decisions.
Salary, Perks & Benefits:
- The salary range for this role is $160,000 – $180,000 OTE, but the final offer amount is dependent on incumbent’s relevant experience, skill-level and location
