Role

Reorg Research, a rapidly growing tech-powered financial news and data company focused on the fixed income markets, is seeking highly motivated reporters to join us in expanding our coverage of primary leveraged finance and private credit. This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new coverage model while working in an exciting and collaborative environment. An ideal candidate would be highly curious, self motivated and possess outstanding interpersonal skills. Prior experience covering debt capital markets and debt origination would be an advantage. 

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our New York City office.

Responsibilities

  • Help build out Reorg’s coverage of Private Credit/Direct Lending 
  • Expertise finding and targeting financial information from public sources and regulatory filings, specifically related to fundraising, LP formation, and securities issuance
  • Combining public information with proprietary information for value add insights reports
  • Identify and report on new trends and developments in leveraged finance/private credit
  • Collaborate with financial and legal analysts, and other reporters across multiple sectors
  • Experience working under rolling deadlines

Desired Requirements

  • Experience writing about finance, specifically debt capital markets 
  • Experience gathering and structuring fragmented information into concise reports
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; self motivated; ability to multitask and an ability to work in a fast paced newsroom environment
  • Scoop driven reporter with an ability to cultivate a stable of reliable sources in the investment banking, fund and asset management industries 
  • Write clearly and concisely under deadline pressure and derive trends from debt issuance, pricing and other market patterns. 
  • The candidate must be collaborative and enjoy working in a multicultural team environment.


At Reorg, we consider a range of factors in connection with compensation decisions, including experience, skills, location, and our business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.

The salary range estimate for this position is $85,000-$90,000, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

The actual compensation will be at Reorg’s sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors.
