Job Description
NBCUniversal's TV & Streaming Portfolio Operations team maintains a central point of focus on Technical Operations - TV & Streaming portfolio-level business objectives, delivering impactful value in alignment with both Media Group and O&T key strategic themes.
The team is seeking a Portfolio Operations Manager, TV & Streaming to support the following:

  • Governing the TV & Streaming key theme progression and execution in alignment with LRP goals and commitments
  • Ad Hoc Program Management with creation and management of program charters, schedules, resource plans, program budgets, and financial cost/benefit models
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
  • Provide program-level status updates and reporting to sponsors and stakeholders, and facilitate regular program status meetings (including agendas, presentations, minutes, action items and follow-up)
  • Create, implement and maintain operational standards, best practices, processes, and documentation for the Portfolio Operations team and its partners.
  • Own and execute facilitation of critical cross functional off/on site meetings.
  • Strategic initiative development and execution
  • Relationship management of our TV & Streaming sub-portfolio, which includes project intake, prioritization, and high-level requirements gathering for all product lines
  • Use advanced knowledge and in-depth evaluation to execute a portfolio strategy with multiple variables, stakeholders, and desired outcomes while ensuring the organization is collectively marching toward established organizational goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional peers and business partners to execute to program goals while managing competing priorities across team


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or years of equivalence in lieu of degree
  • 8+ years experience in Portfolio Management, Project or Program Management, or Business Operations
  • 3+ years of experience in either Technology, Sports, Media, Publishing, and/or Entertainment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to collect information from multiple sources and present complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences, most notably via PowerPoint
  • Experience in Excel (pivot tables, data consolidation)
  • Experienced in PowerPoint, JIRA, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Tableau and/or PowerBI
  • Flexibility, and an excellent interpersonal demeanor in order to work with many different types of teams
  • Exemplary time management and organizational skills, including thorough note taking with follow-ups
  • Proactive: strong sense of ownership and a self-starter


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with crafting long term strategies a plus
  • Experience collaborating across geo-diverse teams with competing priorities, diverse business objectives, and time zone constraints
  • Experience with project/program data aggregation


Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
