We’re looking for an IT Director to expand the capabilities of Garner’s IT services and improve the end user experience of our employees as a result. This role will report to the VP of Platform Engineering and Security.
Garner is headquartered in NYC and this position is required to work from our Manhattan office three days a week at minimum.
Main responsibilities
- Architect, operate, improve, budget for, and secure the IT services Garner provides
- Boost end user velocity and productivity, especially in their onboarding phase
- Build solutions to a high engineering standard and hold others to the same high standard
- Research and advocate for improved techniques, process, and designs within the team
- Collaborate with teammates to deliver strategic IT initiatives
- Support Garner’s employees throughout their employment at Garner
- Secure Garner’s IT services according to regulatory and compliance requirements
- Partner with other stakeholders to ensure a highly-available and performant product for users

Ideal qualifications
- 5+ years experience supporting the end users of an enterprise
- 3+ years managing an IT program (roadmap, people management, etc)
- Excellent written, verbal communication and stakeholder management
- Expertise with Jamf and managing mac endpoints
- Expertise with JIRA service desk
