Role

Reorg is seeking a High Yield Credit Analyst to join our team of experienced, successful and highly motivated individuals at one of New York City’s fastest-growing and most successful startups. The Analyst will cover credits within the financials & insurance sector and will be responsible for the full analytical lifecycle including financial models, earnings reports, sector and relative value reports, event-related reports and client interaction.

The role provides the opportunity to collaborate with our Distressed Debt, Legal & Covenant Analyst teams and editorial staff in generating cross-disciplinary research and analysis for our subscribers, which include top institutional asset managers, hedge funds, investment banks, trading desks, and financial advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a coverage universe of two sectors including in depth coverage on key US high yield credits within assigned sectors
  • Produce valuation and cash flow models, research reports and topical intelligence articles for publication and distribution to our subscribers
  • Maintain active dialogue and cultivate relationships with subscribers and industry contacts to supplement coverage efforts, including idea sourcing
  • Direct exposure to portfolio managers, senior analysts and advisors at many of the top asset managers and financial advisors on a daily basis
  • Own your research franchise and maintain an active dialogue with our client base on key credits and topical situations within your coverage
  • Support and collaborate with top-tier Legal Analysts, Covenant Analysts and our editorial team to highlight Reorg’s value add in topical credit situations within your coverage

Requirements

  • 2+ years of credit research experience from sell side, buy side or ratings agencies
  • Strong analytical and critical reasoning
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Experience analyzing financials, banks or insurance sectors a plus, but all should apply

At Reorg, we consider a range of factors in connection with compensation decisions, including experience, skills, location, and our business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.

The base salary range estimate for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. 

The actual compensation will be at Reorg’s sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for an annual year-end performance bonus.
