About The Role:

As a senior leader within Headway and within the Growth org, reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build, shape, and lead our West Coast teams directly responsible for unlocking Headway’s growth to drive provider activations that fuel our business. As Headway scales to deliver high quality behavioral healthcare for millions of people across the country, the complexity of the sales landscape within which we operate has also increased exponentially. To this end, in our journey to build next generation healthcare growth infrastructure, we’re seeking a highly skilled sales leader to grow and shape a truly mission-critical sales team responsible for scaling Headway’s growth engine.This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that will place you in the driver’s seat to impact business-defining outcomes, and redefine the gold standard for our sales leadership team, while contributing to a world-class sales organization within one of America’s fastest growing startups.

  • Support, train and mentor a team of Sales Managers, ensuring utmost success of their respective pods of Provider Growth Associates 
  • Oversee the West Coast Territory & various cross functional initiatives
  • Utilize metrics and data to proactively anticipate performance risks 
  • Partner with our Head of Sales & other Heads of territories to deliver on critical projects

  • You are an expert leader with experience managing managers, working with early career sales talent, and tenured leadership

  • You enjoy taking a hands-on approach to personal development and coaching: you’ll be expected to provide tailored, direct, and earnest feedback to your team in order to develop the skills of your reports
  • You’re adaptable, dynamic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • You have exceptional time management skills: you know how to balance time managing the team with your own priorities 
  • You know how to best use metrics and data as a way to assess the sales performance of your team and identify improvement opportunities 
  • You know how to hire a great team: you’ll be an instrumental decision maker in the hiring of our Provider Growth Associates and Provider Growth Managers

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary information is based on a single salary target per role and is differentiated based on geographic location (Group A, B, or C)
    • Group A: $175,000
    • Group B: $157,500
    • Group C: $141,750
    • Examples of cities located in each Compensation Grouping:
      • Group A = NYC, SF/Bay Area, LA Area, Seattle, Boston, Austin, and San Diego
      • Group B = Chicago, Miami, Denver, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Nashville, Sacramento, Phoenix, and Portland
      • Group C = All remaining cities

Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access. We make it easy for people to find quality in-network mental health care by removing historic barriers faced by mental health providers, payers, and patients.
