Head of Product Strategy

As Head of Product Strategy at Ridgeline, you will lead the long-term vision and product strategy for the Ridgeline platform and applications tailored to the specific needs of institutional buy-side firms and wealth managers. Your deep industry relationships and understanding of investment management investment and operations lifecycle will guide the development of transformative solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging cutting-edge tools, including AI-driven technologies like ChatGPT, you will shape Ridgeline’s product suite to meet the unique demands of this sophisticated market and set the company on a path for long-term growth.

This role reports to the CEO and requires close collaboration with sales and marketing, product, customer experience, and other departments to ensure Ridgeline builds the right solutions to meet current and future market needs. 

What will you do?

• Define and lead Ridgeline’s product strategy to deliver enterprise-grade solutions for institutional buy-side firms and wealth managers.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, design, marketing, customer experience, and sales teams to execute a cohesive product roadmap that resonates with target audiences.
• Leverage deep relationships within the investment management industry to identify unmet needs and drive market adoption.
• Conduct comprehensive market research, focusing on portfolio management, trading, reporting, compliance, and client engagement to inform product direction.
• Partner with customers and prospects to translate complex operational requirements into actionable strategies and product designs.
• Inspire and mentor a team of product strategists and product marketers to execute ambitious goals with precision and creativity.
• Work collaboratively and closely with pre-sales and product teams.
• Define innovative and compelling uses of AI within the Ridgeline Product that will drive user adoption and differentiate Ridgeline
• Monitor, measure, and iterate, working with sales, product, and customer experience on data-driven company growth outcomes to ensure future direction and alignment with market dynamics and customer feedback.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 15+ years of experience in product strategy or management within the FinTech or investment management space.
• Deep expertise in investment management and the language of finance with a specialty in institutional buy-side and wealth management, including all aspects of the firm's front, middle, and back office operations. 
• Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships within investment firms, translating insights into innovative product solutions.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, focusing on fostering collaboration across departments.
• Experience with SaaS software offerings and technology such as AWS.  
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on actionable strategies.
• Experience leveraging modern technologies, including AI, to drive platform and product long-term direction and innovation..
• Clear and effective communicator, capable of articulating complex ideas to diverse audiences. Exceptional presentation skills and experience presenting at industry events. 
• Experience scaling product offerings in high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape of investment management, including compliance and reporting standards.
• Expertise in go-to-market strategies for enterprise solutions targeting financial services.

Compensation and Benefits 

The typical starting salary range for this role is $250,000 - $350,000. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
