About the Role:

Do you want to help guide financial planning, business operations, and strategic decision making at a Forbes Cloud 100 company? Come join the Finance, BizOps & Strategy (FBOS) team at Gusto.

The FBOS team provides financial, operational, and strategic support at the corporate, departmental, and product level. The team’s mission is to define and defend the business model while accelerating Gusto’s growth.

About the Team:

As part of this team, you will drive key Go-To-Market operations and strategy support for Gusto Embedded Payroll (GEP). You’ll be a trusted thought partner, leading key initiatives such as bi-weekly forecast reviews, deal desk, capacity planning and resource allocation, and long-range planning. You’ll gain experience building operations in an emerging business unit and working cross-functionally to drive alignment to move the business forward.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Enterprise Sales Deal Desk. Responsible for structuring GEP’s enterprise deals, owning economic terms, and be a key thought partner to the Sales team for strategic positioning with prospect conversations. Work cross-functionally to spearhead and ensure internal alignment on all financial and operational terms.
  • Planning & Forecasting. Support GEP through revenue, cost, headcount planning & forecasting. Solutions oriented mindset is important as you partner with key members of the organization to maximize performance within the existing constraints.
  • Go-To-Market Operations and Analytics. Partner with GEP’s Revenue team to drive operations and conduct key analysis and modeling to help leadership make sound and strategically aligned decisions that thoroughly weigh opportunities and risk. This includes leading forecast reviews, evaluating marketing efficiency and strategizing growth initiatives, defining a framework for account prioritization, and revamping pricing and packaging. Lead key projects, focusing on GTM strategy, to help drive large-scale impact and transform our business processes to set up for the next phase of growth with GEP.
  • Execution. A core philosophy of the FBOS team is that we are not here to merely forecast, i.e. try to predict an indeterminate future -- we are here to help make it happen. We roll up our sleeves as partners and pitch in with operations, which is a core tenet of this role.

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • Experience. You have 5+ years of relevant work experience in investment banking, consulting, and/or business operations. Operational enterprise SaaS experience required. You have a degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.).
  • Technical skills. You’re an excel/sheets pro with the superpower to develop insightful models and quantitative analysis, paired with strong critical thinking and sound business judgment. You can deep dive into large data sets with SQL. Experience driving business processes in enterprise tools like Asana and Pigment. You are comfortable with data and analysis in Tableau, or other BI tools.
  • Precision. You have sharp attention to detail with a natural feel for numbers and data, and have a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. You are able to tend to the blades of grass, while not losing sight of the broader landscape.
  • Discipline & Attitude. You have impressive time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks with multiple stakeholders while hitting deadlines on time sensitive projects. You are proactive and have a positive attitude with a can-do, service-oriented mentality.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is $126,000/yr to $156,000/yr in Denver & most major metro locations, and $153,000/yr to $189,000/yr for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
