Applecart is the leading technology company creating a new category of “Decision Maker Marketing”. The most important decisions are made by the hardest people to reach and influence. Historically, C-suite leaders have lacked the tools to reach the stakeholders that matter most to their business. The C-suites of hundreds of Fortune 500 companies, major agencies, trade associations, nonprofits, and governments use Applecart to put their best content in front of their critical decision makers and those they trust —  from policymakers and investors to CEOs, key employees, members of the media and more. Decision makers are informed by what they read, learn from advisors, hear from colleagues, and discuss with family and friends. To break through to them, you must reach them through the only channel that really moves them: those they know and trust. Applecart’s platform uses publicly available or fully permissioned data to map billions of social relationships between nearly every American adult and enable clients to deliver content directly to decision makers and those that matter most to them.

We are hiring an Events Manager in our New York office

About the Role:

At Applecart, you will be responsible for building a C-suite events program during a period of hypergrowth at a venture-backed, growth stage, mission-driven startup. In this position, you will design and execute a steady stream of high-end events featuring salons and convenings on the sidelines of marquee global events like Davos, Cannes, and Milken designed to build Applecart’s brand and generate revenue. You will set the strategic direction for and oversee the events arm of our marketing function, helping us to scale this successful channel that will receive significant investment over 2025 and beyond.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and run high-end C-suite events programs from start to finish (i.e., recruiting attendees, selecting and managing vendors, sending out invitations, handling follow-ups, etc.).
  • Build and amplify Applecart’s brand image as the strategic partner of choice for our target Fortune 500 clients (specifically Chief Corporate Affairs Officers, Chief Communications Officers, Heads of GR, IROs, etc.)
  • Build on existing Applecart programs (e.g., salon dinners, conferences / panels, etc.), in addition to developing new events opportunities
  • Engage a C-suite audience, where the invitees are in high demand and you’ll have to command attention amidst many competing priorities

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of experience designing and executing high-ends events for C-suite level audiences
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
    • Comfortable running processes from start to finish
    • A low ego and “no task too small” mentality
    • A scrappy hustler who will look for creative ways to grow this Applecart program with minimal direction; persistent and relentless
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; the ability to project-manage multiple high-stakes workstreams packed with key logistics
  • Familiarity and fluency with the worlds of corporate communications, government relations, and public affairs
  • The EQ and gravitas to interact with C-suite-level stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel, as needed

This is a hybrid role. Work from home or in the office on Monday and Friday, and in Applecart’s New York City office Tuesday through Thursday.

Compensation:

Our compensation package consists of three components: (i) a base salary, (ii) annual cash bonus, and (iii) generous equity compensation.

The base salary range for this role is between $125,000-$175,000, based on the candidate's experience and skills relative to the requirements listed in the “Who You Are” section above. The salary range provided is exclusive of a significant amount of compensation that candidates will receive in the form of cash bonus and equity compensation. The salary range provided for this role is specific to candidates located in the New York City area.
