Marco is hiring a senior full-stack engineering leader. You'll partner with our CTO, Nick Freeman, and Head of Design to drive products our consumers love and scale an automated experiences marketplace that brings 600+ companies and 60,000+ employees together. As the lead product engineer, you'll be writing the playbook for the future of work.

Responsibilities

  • As an experienced product thinker, help guide our overall strategy through design, customer feedback, and launch.
  • Work side-by-side with user-facing teams (Sales, Partnerships, CX) to best understand the needs of our customers and experience hosts.
  • Own problems end-to-end, thinking through everything from user experience, data models, scalability, operability and ongoing metrics.
  • Defining metrics and making data driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years as a software engineer developing complex applications.
  • 2+ years experience building and driving consumer products from start to finish.
  • The ability to self-start given only a high-level direction and work autonomously to deliver great software at very high throughput.
  • Strong attention to product UI/UX; a burning desire to ensure the things you create look and feel great.
  • Fast execution: You have a bias for action and a preference for doing the simple thing first.
  • Within 4 hours of EST time.

We are building the all-in-one employee connection platform that allows companies to proactively plan, improve, and measure employee connection through experiences.

Problem: For decades, company culture has been rooted in the office. Over the past two years, the way we live and work has been completely changed with hybrid work being embraced by a majority of companies.

Based on a recent Gallup poll, 77% of employees will either be exclusively remote or hybrid, with only 23% of workers expected to be fully on-site beyond 2022. With increased distribution of workers, new challenges on how to build employee experience have emerged.

Solution: Marco is building a solution for investing in the modern employee experience. Marco helps companies bring employees together outside of the office through virtual, in-person experiences, or company retreats. Marco works with companies to help determine the right cadence to bring various groups within a company together that could range from newly onboarded employees, functional teams, geographical hubs, or exec teams. Additionally, Marco provides a suite of employee engagement tools to help measure the ROI of investing in employee experience.

Traction: The business has continued to grow substantially over the past couple of years. From 2H 2020 to 2H 2021, the business grew in GMV by over 7x.

While the markets that Marco serves, including employee engagement, DEI / L&D, and T&E have always existed, there hasn't been a digital product that makes it easy for companies to manage this spend. The need to do so has increased drastically given the shift to hybrid work.
