The Role

We empower companies to unlock incremental value through post-transaction advertising. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for expanding partnerships with retail and ecommerce brands throughout North America. You should have experience selling to C-Level executives within enterprise brands, managing the entire sales cycle, and negotiating partnership deals. A strategic mindset and a passion for forging new business relationships, along with a deep understanding of the retail media industry, are essential. 

We are looking for a self-motivated, highly focused individual who can be a team player and shares our passion for delivering value to clients. 

    • Proactively identify, target, and prospect potential clients within the mid-market and enterprise retail and ecommerce space. 
    • Develop prospect specific presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits of our post-purchase transaction solution. 
    • Negotiate contracts and finalize deals with new clients. 
    • Establish and nurture strong, genuine client relationships to facilitate ongoing revenue growth. 
    • Provide actionable feedback to the product and development teams based on client insights to continually enhance our solution. 
    • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by efficiently managing the sales pipeline. 
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive products, market conditions, and industry trends.

  • 5+ years of proven sales experience, ideally within the retail or ecommerce space. 
  • Deep understanding of the post-purchase transaction space and its significance for the brands we work with. 
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and business value effectively. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a knack for engaging with professionals at all organizational levels. 
  • Self-starter with a results-oriented approach and a strong drive to succeed. 
  • Proven track record of presenting and selling into the C-suite.

Salary Range: $125,000 to $150,000 - The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Fluent salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

Hybrid Workspace

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

Colleagues in the NYC metro will be required to work from the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In-office collaboration days will have catered lunches and host the majority of our programming. Our hybrid two-day schedule is built around flexibility.
