The Navan Expense Business Operations team is focused on resolving the most important challenges based on emergent needs of the product, organization, and overall business. On this team, you will have the unique opportunity to scope and drive high-impact strategic, operational, and organizational initiatives to help push the business forward.
In this role, you’ll work with leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute on strategic opportunities to accelerate growth and prepare for scale. You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic initiatives through the development of detailed work plans, analyzing relevant data, defining strategy, driving execution and monitoring results.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and own high-impact initiatives, carrying the project from identification of an issue, to synthesizing and mapping existing product flows, to building effective solutions, to rolling out new processes, and finally to monitoring the success metrics
- Improve key processes and facilitate business growth in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, such as Product, Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance + Accounting, back office teams, among others.
- Develop and optimize processes managed by operations and field teams
- Facilitate customer-facing remediation and reconciliation efforts in response to bug fixes or regulatory changes
- Anticipate bottlenecks and align on tradeoffs between business needs and technical and financial constraints
- Drive timely and successful completion of initiative deliverables
- Develop and provide actionable insights and strategy recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
- Develop success metrics and performance-tracking dashboards to monitor the execution and progress of strategic initiatives
- Manage executive and cross-functional communication to ensure alignment on key decisions and status
What We’re Looking For:
- BA or BS Degree
- 5+ years of experience in cross-functional operations management, with a preference for prior experience in startup operations
- Startup mentality with an eagerness to learn and work on every project; enthusiasm to get things done through a combination of hands-on execution and leading others.
- Structured, solutions-oriented approach to ambiguous problem statements; comfort with ambiguity and willingness to troubleshoot complex issues
- Ability to operate autonomously with little guidance; self-starter with drive to consistently exceed set targets and timelines
- Experiencing designing and manipulating large datasets and identifying meaningful insights
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to drive projects across multiple teams and geographies end to end
- Experience with ‘0 to 1’ execution and process design; demonstrated experience driving process change in a high-growth, global environment
- Strong attention to detail and rigorous project management skills to manage high-quality, timely deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously
- Nice to have:
- Experience with SQL and database management systems
- Experience in finance, payments, or fintech
The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
