Role Overview:
Given we are targeting just one industry (construction), our go-to-market is account-based, targeting specific personas at these accounts such as CFOs, Controllers, and Accounting Managers. As a result, we are looking for a seasoned B2B marketing manager who has strong experience implementing account-based marketing strategies with a background in both demand generation and product marketing. As a key hire, you will work directly with our CEO and will play a key role in shaping our brand presence, fostering meaningful relationships within the construction community, and accelerating our growth. Experience working at a startup selling B2B software is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition within the B2B construction sector
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of educational initiatives, including webinars, events, conferences, and thought leadership content
- Coordinate key conferences from both a logistics and a marketing point of view
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and maximize campaign effectiveness
- Own the end-to-end event management process, from conceptualization and planning to execution and post-event analysis
- Organize the creation of engaging content assets such as guides, whitepapers, case studies, and blog posts to support marketing campaigns and thought leadership efforts
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance, measure ROI, and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform marketing strategies and tactics
- Take a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to the role, diving into day-to-day execution while also providing strategic leadership and guidance
- Explore and adopt cutting-edge marketing tools and technologies to enhance campaign effectiveness
- Leverage AI tools to streamline marketing processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B marketing roles within the software industry
- Experience with account-based sales and marketing strategies is a must
- Strong experience in HubSpot and other marketing tools, including ad platforms like LinkedIn and Google
- Proven track record in demand generation
- Analytical and can speak to metrics/KPIs related to marketing and sales fluently
- Experience managing agencies including designers, ad agencies and other contractors to scale themselves
- Experience in product marketing, including go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and lifecycle management
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling
- Passion for trying out and adopting cutting-edge marketing tools and technologies
- Expert in leveraging AI tools like GPT to streamline marketing processes and improve efficiency
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and a collaborative mindset
- Knowledge of the construction industry or familiarity with accounting/finance software is a big plus
