Description and Requirements
The Actuarial Internship Program (AIP) is intended to provide summer interns with valuable work experience through exposure to actuarial functions within MetLife. Interns will work directly with experienced actuaries in different areas of actuarial practice which may include pricing and product development, reserve calculations, actuarial modeling, financial analysis, asset liability management, and investments. Interns will contribute to a wide variety of exciting and interesting projects, as well as present to managers in the organization at the end of their internship.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
• Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with an accredited college or university
• Preferred major includes actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or other analytical/business-related major
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Successful completion of one or more Society of Actuaries exams is preferred
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong computer/technical skills (knowledge of programming languages preferred)
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills

The salary range for applicants for this position is $27 - $33 per hour.
