These Tech Companies Announced New NYC Headquarters in 2022
While the Covid-19 pandemic took a toll on NYC, state officials believe the local tech sector boom “helped prop up” the city and state’s economy. New companies are sprouting up and foreign companies are planting their flag in the Big Apple when they expand to the U.S. Keep reading for a list of a few notable tech companies that announced new NYC headquarters in 2022.
Tel Aviv-based monday.com announced in September that it would open a U.S. headquarters at 225 Park Avenue South in Q1 of 2023. Monday.com, which went public in June, became a household name with Work OS, its flagship project management platform. The company, which employs 1,500 people globally and 250 people in NYC, will occupy 110,000 square feet of space across four floors, providing enough room for 600 employees.
Skit.ai, an India-based voice automation startup, established its U.S. headquarters in New York City in June. The Skit platform helps automated calls perform smoother. According to the company, its augmented voice intelligence platform helps make call center conversations more human-like.
Superblocks, which provides developers with programmable internal tools, announced in June that it opened a headquarters occupying the entire ninth floor of 100 Fifth Ave. The company, which was founded in 2021, announced in August that it had raised $37 million in funding.
Healthcare billing platform Cedar moved its Manhattan headquarters to the 32 Avenue of the Americas building in May. The new office is 66,000 square feet and flooded with natural light, according to a company statement. Cedar employees work in a hybrid setting.
Real estate investment platform Cadre moved its headquarters from the Puck Building at 295 Lafayette St. to a 17,050-square-foot office that spans the entire seventh floor of 315 Park Ave S., a 20-story office building in Manhattan’s Midtown South neighborhood. Cadre uses data to help commercial real estate investors buy and sell properties.
