About the Position

We are looking to hire a meticulous and experienced Windows Engineer to help run our entire Windows infrastructure, from managing Active Directory and DNS, to acting as an escalation point for more complex issues in the Windows Desktop environment.

Windows is our primary desktop operating system, and many of our core infrastructure services are provided by Windows servers. Having these systems work correctly is key for the continuity of our business.

As part of our Windows team, you’ll work to improve, automate, and standardize our Windows environment.  Much of this work will involve creating and maintaining PowerShell scripts. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be needed as you collaborate with colleagues across the firm—locally and abroad—to find and resolve issues, plan and execute deployments, and improve systems where possible.

Getting the details right and keeping good records are critical in this role. While troubleshooting a range of technical issues, you’ll be expected to clearly document problem resolution using our online knowledge base.

This position sits within our IT Engineering group, a highly dedicated team of engineers who monitor and manage a Windows environment across a physical/virtual computing landscape that spans three continents. Your analytical thinking and expertise will be invaluable as we support the daily work of our colleagues and keep our systems operating at the highest standard.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience with the inner workings of Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2012 R2/2016/2019
  • Advanced working knowledge of Active Directory/DHCP/DNS/Group Policy
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot workstation operating systems, applications, peripherals, network and audio-visual
  • Experience with hardware monitoring and performance tuning
  • Clear and concise communication skills, able to maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • A flexible and reliable team player, enjoys working in a collaborative environment
