Role & Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement an innovative comprehensive and flexible strategy, with the goals set by the EVP, Talent Casting & Brand Marketing, to acquire the best talent globally for RWS’ projects utilizing a variety of channels including live auditions, digital submissions, and talent showcases
  • Leadership: Lead the casting and recruitment team, driving strategy, a high-performance culture, and ensuring that day-to-day operations align with the client, project and company needs.
  • Industry Presence: Build and maintain a robust network of agents, producers, artistic directors, other key stakeholders, top level events and showcases, to source diverse, top-tier talent across multiple entertainment sectors – while elevating the company’s reputation.
  • Quality Excellence: Ensure high standards of quality control and continuous process improvement across all casting and recruitment activities.
  • Recruitment Marketing: Collaborate with Marketing/PR teams to develop specialized marketing campaigns, leveraging industry trends and digital platforms to target and attract talent.
  • Collaborative Strategy Development: Partner with the EVP to ensure that casting strategies align with broader company objectives, including identifying opportunities for cross-company synergies with ARC Casting, while leading the execution of those strategies across the recruitment team.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI initiatives within the casting process, ensuring that all talent recruitment and casting operations reflect the company’s commitment to inclusivity.
  • Team Leadership: Cultivate a high-performance culture within the casting team, providing leadership and mentorship while fostering innovation and inclusivity.

Qualifications

 

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Arts Administration, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 7 years in a leadership role within casting or talent recruitment, with experience managing large-scale, ongoing projects such as cruise lines, theme parks, and resorts.
  • Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leadership on shaping and implementing casting strategies, while independently leading a team to achieve ambitious recruitment goals.
  • Innovative Mindset: Proven ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment inspiring innovation and solution-based thinking to drive results.
  • Diverse Talent Acquisition: Expertise in identifying and evaluating talent across disciplines, including actors, vocalists, dancers, musicians, and technical crew.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of the entertainment and leisure industries, with deep experience casting for large-scale productions.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A self-starter with the ability to balance creativity, operational efficiency, and strategic execution.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Mac software, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications, with experience leveraging digital tools for recruitment.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the year to support recruitment and casting initiatives.
