Job Title:
Vice President, Quantitative UX Researcher
Job Summary:
As a VP, Quantitative UX Researcher within Commerce Payments, you will be delivering actionable insights to inspire the next generation of digital wallet and payment products and help create frictionless and transparent experiences for customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for turning all of product development into a learning organization, guiding others on how to better conduct research and get the most out of our findings. You are also expected to be strong cross-functional partners with Design, Product Management, and Engineering, informing prioritization, planning, and decisions along the way to execution
Job Responsibilities:
- Synthesize data from a number of different sources to identify meaningful trends and patterns that will help improve the overall customer experience.
- Define metrics, evaluate results, draw conclusions and insights to design and recommend improvements, translating research insights into strategy.
- Define Data querying, wrangling, and analysis leveraging SQL and/or Python connecting to Snowflake Data Cloud.
- Drive multiple complex initiatives with minimal guidance, given the startup-like model with the suite of innovative products supported in this role.
- Using relevant statistical concepts (significance testing, regression/linear models) to design & measure experiments, customer driven segmentations and ad-hoc analysis.
- Work closely with a variety of internal & external stakeholders, across functions, to help identify opportunities to improve user experience within the design planning and prioritization process.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- PhD/Masters or equivalent in Statistics (can include Social Science), Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or relevant fields.
- Experience in product or design research, experimentation, and/or analytics.
- A balance of creative and analytical skills with the ability to proactively identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings.
- Strong programming skills with SQL and/or Python and a demonstrated ability working with large datasets.
- Convert data to actionable insights and leverage data visualization tools to effectively tell a story .
- Experience with relational databases and query optimization to pull and summarize large datasets with focus on efficiency and reducing server impacts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable presenting work to executive audiences.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience with longitudinal analysis, multilevel/mixed effects modeling, and/or survey weighting.
- Mixed methods research experience or hands-on experience leading end-to-end quantitative research studies.
- Experience with setting up experiments and defining measurement for early-stage products and new experiences.
- Familiarity with banking and finance a plus.
- Experience with both B2C and B2B is an advantage.
- Portfolio or examples of past projects with evidence of implementing findings that improved a product or feature design.
