VP, MARKETING – GO TO MARKET

 

Summary:

GSTV is America’s #1 On the Go Media company reaching 115M consumers every month, via an entertaining show in a high attention moment in the consumer journey. We have a truly unique platform via a combination of national reach through our digital video network and local focus through our ability to target consumers in every community down to the retailer level. The ideal candidate will harness that power to ideate and create exciting and impactful narratives and programs, with the goal of taking GSTV to the next level in the eyes of the advertising community, growing existing partnerships, and unlocking new categories for business.   

 

This role is an incredibly impactful and critical hire with accountability for achieving marketing goals across all revenue channels and driving a creative marketing solutions approach that aligns with GSTV’s sales and revenue goals. Reporting to the EVP, Marketing, the VP, Marketing – Go To Market is responsible for setting go-to-market vision, including objectives and strategies to deliver best-in-class sales and marketing solutions and collateral that drive revenue for GSTV.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

·       Create and manage GSTV’s GTM approach and sales materials for company-wide efficiency, education, and consistency of messaging inclusive of:

o    Tentpole & Seasonal Programs

o    Ad Products

o    Category Toolkits

o    Company Core Story and Capabilities

·       As a player/ coach, build processes and accountability with a distributed team to develop best-in-class sales packages, product positioning, and overall GTM strategy to strengthen GSTV’s leadership among agencies and clients

·       Develop targeted ways to tell the GSTV story in different ways and to different audiences including one-sheets, presentations, emails, etc.

·       Partner with Insights, Client Solutions, and Sales Leaders to develop meaningful packages around key tentpoles (e.g. Summer of Drive, Holiday, etc.) that spark client and agency engagement and drive revenue

·       Establish a strategic approach for all “focus categories,” by analyzing category-specific data, stories, etc.

·       Be the main liaison with Research to surface trends and insights around key audience segments, categories, and media consumption habits to better position GSTV offerings

·       Collaborate with Sales Leadership on establishing priorities and communication cadence

·       Partner with Client Solutions on internal communication processes to keep sales teams fully informed and equipped to drive ad revenue:

o    Highspot material updates

o    Creation of Highspot Highlights in partnership with Client Solutions lead

o    Plan/coordinate Marketing Calls in collaboration with EVP, Marketing & Client Solutions lead

·       Understand national marketing needs and collaborate with Brand Strategy and Communication to develop and execute national, regional, and local ad sales marketing strategies

·       Foster strong working relationships with other departments and key stakeholders including Research, Sales, Client Solutions, Planning & Ops, Design, Marcomm, and Ignite Creative Studio

·       Create clear success metrics for GTM function and report on them monthly to EVP, Marketing

·       In collaboration with Sales Ops, track the performance of packages via available metrics and marketplace feedback to inform and optimize sales strategies

·       Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements: 

 

Required qualifications:

·       A proven track-record of translating business objectives into creative solutions that drive results

·       Ability to create a strong vision, strategic priorities, and accountability by leveraging a matrixed and cross-functional team

·       An exceptional understanding of how to leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to deliver advertising solutions

·       An ability to manage challenging and complex projects and build consensus in a multi-layered organization

·       Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

·       Strong design sensibility for sales/marketing collateral

·       Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully leading teams, driving performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment

·       Experience/knowledge in the following: Microsoft Suite of Tools including PowerPoint, Photoshop, Salesforce, Jira and email marketing tools

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or similar field from an accredited college or university, in conjunction with 10+ years of experience in marketing solutions, sales development and/or media agency role.
