We are looking for a Vice President of State & Local Public Affairs, who will be responsible for strengthening CLEAR’s corporate reputation and brand awareness among government and civic stakeholders at the state and local level, while overseeing a team of Public Affairs professionals driving impact across key regions. Based in New York, you will lead a team committed to developing and executing public affairs strategies to effectively tell CLEAR’s story to elected officials, community partners, local opinion leaders, and members in all markets where CLEAR maintains a presence. In addition to providing strategic leadership, you'll maintain high-level relationships within key markets and ensure alignment across the regional public affairs team. This role is expected to travel up to 25% of the time.


What you'll do:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional public affairs professionals to execute effective campaigns that align with CLEAR’s business objectives and values
  • Develop and oversee the execution of public affairs strategies to strengthen CLEAR’s reputation and advance its goals across multiple markets
  • Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders in government, business, and community organizations, ensuring CLEAR’s mission and growth are well-understood and supported
  • Monitor and respond to legislative and regulatory activity at the state and local levels, ensuring CLEAR’s perspectives and interests are effectively represented
  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with community organizations and advocacy groups to amplify CLEAR’s impact and visibility
  • Represent CLEAR at events, legislative hearings, and stakeholder meetings as a senior leader and key voice for the organization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Public Affairs, Aviation, Marketing and Communications, and CLEAR1 teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of efforts
  • Manage vendor and consultant relationships to maximize results across priority markets

  • Evaluate the quality and depth of relationships established and maintained with key government, business, and community leaders across regions
  • Assess successes in navigating and influencing public policy, as evidenced by positive legislative and regulatory outcomes
  • Measure the development and impact of strategic partnerships aligned with CLEAR’s business objectives and values
  • Ensure seamless coordination and execution of public affairs strategies across multiple markets

The base salary range for this role is $250,000-$280,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
