Position Summary:
JP Morgan's US Treasury trading desk is part of one of the top Interest Rates Trading businesses on Wall Street, and we are currently looking for a qualified candidate to work on the trading desk, and help facilitate trading. At least 1 year of trading experience is a pre-requisite.
Position Description:
As an Associate for the US Treasury desk, you will leverage your trading experience to trade a specific maturity sector on the Treasury curve. You will engage with clients, partner with sales, and contribute to our team's success. Your responsibilities will include pricing client trades, hedging risks, and managing operational duties. You will also work on desk projects, handle daily operational requirements, and contribute to desk intelligence. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and fast-paced trading environment.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Pricing & hedging client trades (requires intimate familiarity with duration, curve, futures, and on-off the run risk)
  • Generating Revenue commensurate with the opportunity of the sector
  • Produce color and content on the respective sector to share with clients and sales
  • Working with the desk to develop analytics for relative value trading in both cash and derivatives
  • Managing operational duties for reporting P&L, risk, and anything ad hoc asked by the desk including projects or specific data gathering.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum of 1 yr of trading experience
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interest in markets and macro products
  • Ability to take direction and constructive feedback, while meeting time sensitive deadlines on a daily basis


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Undergraduate technical/STEM degree
  • Strong understanding of cash products and UST futures
  • Familiarity with Excel
