The Strategic Advisory (SA) practice reports into the Corporate and Investment Banking Engineering & Architecture group which provides services to the business aligned Chief Information Officers for Markets, Payments, and Security Services to accelerate their business delivery. Strategy Director - Technology Strategic Advisory.

As a Strategy Director within our Technology Strategic Advisory Practice, you will be responsible for providing Chief Information Officers with strategic insights by establishing connections across the Corporate and Investment Banking & Global Technology.
You will offer recommendations and facilitate solutions that tackle their most intricate technical and process challenges. As a part of a small, highly skilled team, your expertise in public cloud will be highly appreciated. Our team's work is steered by the most senior technology directors, adapting to new priorities as market, regulatory, and business demands shift.

  • Use your deep Cloud expertise to shape and develop actionable strategies that address the CIO's most complex challenges listed below
  • Address Impediments to security, controls & compliance within the public cloud
  • Manage cost Management and ongoing optimization to manage cloud expenditure (FinOps)
  • Explore AI/ML opportunities and dependencies
  • Cultivate best practices for cloud migrations and operational activities post migration.
  • Ensure multi-region and multi-provider resiliency / failover scenarios, costs & challenges
  • Provide education and guidance to senior executives on complex technical topics



  • 15+ years of experience in technology ideally in financial services industry
  • Proven experience within the AWS Partner Network or as an Azure Expert Managed Services Provider
  • Demonstrated success working with customers on complex cloud services / infrastructure migrations to public/private/hybrid cloud, ideally within a global enterprise capacity.
  • "Big 5" consulting experience in cloud transformation strategy space
  • Experience presenting to executive level IT managers, ability to quickly build trust, while constructively challenging where appropriate.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulatory & compliance environment and a Customer-Centric approach via a genuine focus on understanding customer expectations and helping them address their challenges.
  • Ability to structure and scope complex problems, identify major issues and apply a range of analytical tools to develop actionable opportunities.


This is a leadership role that directly supports the technology executives for our CIB businesses, advising them on opportunities and challenges that will accelerate their decision making.
Although the team is not expected to build products, solution architecture experience will be essential to have meaningful discussions with senior engineering and architecture leads.
You will act as trusted advisor & thought leader through partnering with and influencing CIB / Global Technology domain experts and providing insights that will accelerate decisions on areas that are blocking strategy execution.
These projects will provide significant exposure & visibility to senior management. This role is ideal for initiative-taking individuals with advanced problem solving and communication skills.
