Business Operations is the glue of DE&E Technology, with a persistent focus on connecting all the pieces of the business. All the components that make up the organization - engineering, product, design, operations, support and more - come together and move the business forward with oversight, effective prioritization, and guidance. This team synthesizes information from across the business to ensure leaders are armed with all the necessary data before making strategic and financial decisions. From forecasting, funding, tracking, and reporting on projects, to ways of working, and resource management, Business Operations has transparency and input into all aspects of the team.
The Technical Program Management team is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team working with our Identity Security teams. You will be responsible for partnering with Program and Engineering managers who deliver The Walt Disney Company's world class identity experience. You'll also function as an interface between Product and other Engineering teams, participating in coordination, alignment, road mapping, and the overall seamless delivery of best-in-class consumer applications.

  • You build strong relationships with your engineering and program team partners and promote synergy and transparent communication among them.
  • You can stay focused under pressure, prioritizing multiple work streams in a deadline driven environment.
  • You are proactive in identifying and mitigating risk.
  • You have excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of management.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Program, Product and Engineering leaders to form delivery plans, identify milestones, and guide the team to successful and on time delivery of the milestones.
  • Facilitate agile team ceremonies including stand-ups, backlog refinement sessions, retrospectives, sprint planning meetings, any type of planning session where the team comes together to discuss the status of work, or what's on the roadmap.
  • Manages cross-team interdependencies. Ensures all stakeholders are well informed of potential impacts to deliverables and timelines.
  • Execute on several deliverables concurrently with onsite and remote team members while balancing competing priorities.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of day-to-day project statuses, updates, and risks along with reporting to the broader organization.
  • Keeps the team organized. Maintains a framework for work tracking, planning & delivery.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience as a Technical Project Manager managing teams and projects.
  • Demonstrated ability with Agile, Kanban and Waterfall project management.
  • Have technical literacy in order to be able to follow technical discussions and absorb technical documentation.
  • Experience working with product and design and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and engage with engineering teams to drive deliverables forward.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Experience working with Identity management and authentication is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Tools experience including Jira, Confluence, Slack, Airtable, Miro and Google suite
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required

The hiring range for this position in California and Washington is $102,500 - $137,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
