We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in attracting top talent to SoundCloud. You will be responsible for sourcing, engaging, and hiring exceptional professionals who can contribute to our innovative and dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to recruit for various roles across different departments and functions, including technical, marketing, and music business roles. Previous in-house recruitment experience in music, entertainment, or media is preferred.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for partnering with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand the requirements and specifications for each role. You will develop effective recruitment strategies to attract and engage highly skilled candidates. Utilizing various sourcing channels such as job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and industry-specific groups, you will identify and connect with potential candidates. Additionally, you will conduct thorough candidate screenings, assessments, and interviews to evaluate technical skills, experience, and cultural fit. You will also conduct kick-off meetings with your hiring managers to better understand the specific team needs. 

You will be instrumental in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including offer negotiation, onboarding, and post-hire follow-up. Building and maintaining relationships with candidates will be a key aspect of the role, ensuring a positive candidate experience and keeping them engaged throughout the recruitment process. You will also collaborate closely with other members of the Talent Acquisition team to enhance recruitment strategies, processes, and employer branding initiatives.

Experience and Background:

  • 2+ years experience as a recruiter, ideally with a mix of business and technical or engineering recruitment
  • Familiarity with various sourcing techniques, including online job boards, social media, and professional networks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with candidates and stakeholders
  • Passion for music and helping independent artists 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously
  • Experience working with a global company is a plus 
  • Previous in-house recruitment experience in music, entertainment, or media is preferred 
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality hires within established timelines
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools
  • Passion for technology and the ability to effectively communicate SoundCloud's mission and culture to prospective candidates
  • Strong focus on DEI recruitment by structuring processes and policies that promote diversity.
  • Source, network with, and proactively reach out to minorities, female candidates, people with disabilities, or other under-represented groups

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
