Dotdash Meredith is looking for a versatile full time stylist to work across its diverse catalog of brands. You will be creating original content as directed by brands’ creative team. This role may one day be shooting still life in the studio and another heading out to shoot beauty and fashion on the street. The stylist needs to understand the sometimes subtle differences between the brands and to be able to quickly transition styles of one brand to another. This role includes prep work including sourcing, storing and organizing props, designing and building simple sets while staying within budget.
The ideal candidate would have a strong, versatile portfolio, including lifestyle and still life photography. They would have a personality that welcomes different challenges and has the ability to problem solve and pivot with priorities. They would thrive knowing they are working on something different every day. A degree in a creative field is a bonus, but not required. Must have on set experience in either a freelance or full-time capacity.

Essential Job Functions

80% Provide stylist and set design duties within the specifications determined by photography, creative or editorial management. Design and arrange all photographic shoots utilizing technical expertise and judgment, to assigned photography. The styling will meet or exceed company expectations and output will be used for all media and publishing purposes from editorial to promotion.
10% Manage and maintain photography props and surfaces.
10% Assist with the planning, research, and attend pre-production meetings.
