About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Strategy & Operations Lead to build and scale our worker and operations experience from the ground up. This role will require an individual contributor (IC) approach initially, with a clear path to management as the Special Projects team expands. You will work hands-on to create and optimize worker acquisition and onboarding processes while collaborating closely with product teams to introduce automation into these workflows. This is a unique opportunity to define new processes for an entirely new product in the 0-1 stage, ultimately shaping Traba’s Special Project operations.

Responsibilities

  • Define New Processes: Play a key role in defining processes essential for the launch and sustainability of a completely new product.

  • Design and Build Operations: Lead the development of all aspects of the worker and operations experience, including acquisition, onboarding, and workflow automation.

  • Collaborate for Product Excellence: Partner closely with the product team to implement automated solutions that streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

  • Manage and Scale: Begin as an IC with potential to hire, lead, and expand the Special Projects operations team as we scale.

  • Hands-on and Field-focused: Embrace a hands-on approach initially, requiring travel during the first six months to engage directly with customers, gather insights, and relay learnings back to the team.

What You’ll Need

  • Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: 7+ years in operations, strategy, or management roles, preferably in a startup or a notable marketplace company.

  • Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, with an emphasis on driving operational excellence and team growth.

  • Analytical and Detail-oriented: Process-driven mindset with a high level of accuracy, organization, and a desire for operational excellence.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with product or engineering teams, as well as knowledge of SQL or no-code tools like Retool.

Salary Range Details:

The compensation range for this position is set between $140,000 and $180,000, reflecting our market analysis and other relevant considerations. However, exceptions may be made for candidates with qualifications that significantly differ from those outlined in the job description.
