The Opportunity
The Dashboards team at Datadog is at the heart of our observability platform, acting as a central pane of glass that is used by all customers of Datadog. As a Staff Software Engineer on the Dashboards team, you will facilitate new product offerings, lead cross-organizational initiatives and raise the bar for operational excellence within our organization.
You will help drive key initiatives such as our transition from a monolithic architecture to a microservices-oriented architecture, the design and implementation of API Schema Versioning for Dashboard APIs and a better onboarding experience for all of our customers. What You'll Do

• Drive high-priority, high-visibility product capabilities that exceed our customers' expectations
• Identify, advocate and deliver new product platform opportunities to better serve our customers including development of our product roadmap
• Architect, implement and oversee systems from inception through deployment
• Lead the development, maintenance and growth of key services, APIs and user experiences that power Dashboards
• Raise the bar for operational excellence within your teams

Who You Are

• You have a BS /MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
• You have several years of experience leading cross-team initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment
• You have a product delivery oriented mindset and strong customer empathy
• You have led the design and delivery of industry-leading systems

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
