The Role

\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the team:\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaven is looking for an experienced Staff Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team to drive the technical vision and strategic projects to uncover business insights that enable data-driven decision-making as our business expands. As a part of the Business Intelligence team, you will partner closely with our Finance, Sales, and Salesforce Development teams to lead analytics efforts and enable data-informed decision-making across all aspects of our business. You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable data and reporting models that enable key cross-functional teams to report on critical business metrics independently.\u0026nbsp;\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAs a Data Analyst, you will:\u0026nbsp;\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLead the design and development of data structures from both internal and 3rd party sources for use in analysis and reporting (primarily using SQL and Python)\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePartner with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, and Engineering teams to build dedicated data models and reporting that support critical business processes and goals\u0026nbsp;\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDrive operational efficiency by identifying areas for process improvement and recommending highly scalable solutions\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMentor and guide mid-level analysts, providing guidance to team members on best practices, coding standards, and design principles\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eEffectively communicate insights and results from analysis to stakeholders across Maven teams, highlighting opportunities to better serve our business\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIdentify and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends that can drive innovation and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our data analytics processes\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMinimum Qualifications: \u003c/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u0026nbsp;\u003c/em\u003e\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e7+ years of relevant analytics or data science experience\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eFluency in SQL and a strong background in data visualization\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eHands-on experience with Python or R\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAn ability to juggle both long-term, strategic projects and ad hoc, urgent requests as needed\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eExcellent collaboration and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and mentor junior analysts\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePreferred Qualifications:\u0026nbsp;\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eExperience working with Financial and Sales data\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eExperience with at least on BI tool (Tableau, Looker), and/or dbt\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFor candidates in NYC, CO, or CA, the base salary range for this role is $160K-$240K per year. You will also be entitled to stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset\u003c/p\u003e
