The Role:

You’ll be at the center of our day-to-day finance function—handling everything from transactional accounting and payroll support to close processes, reconciliations, and tax compliance. This isn’t a narrow role. You’ll touch every part of the accounting cycle, support major initiatives, and play a foundational part in building systems that scale. Key Responsibilities:

Daily & Operational AccountingProcess vendor bills and employee reimbursements; monitor AP agingTrack and reconcile marketplace transactions and creator payoutsMaintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all entries Assist with payroll processing and reconciliationMonth-End Financial ReportingPrepare and post journal entries (accruals, deferrals, payroll, revenue, etc.) Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly with clear, complete supportSupport a fast and accurate monthly close processSupport flux analysis and internal reporting packagesTax & ComplianceAssist with state/local and international tax filings (sales tax, VAT, GST, etc.) Help maintain compliance across jurisdictions as the business scalesSystems & Process ImprovementHelp streamline and scale financial processes and systems as the company growsContribute to internal controls and readiness for future audits / compliance requirementsProactively identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements—nothing is “set in stone” here

What You Bring

• 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally at a startup or fast-paced company
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and modern accounting software
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to prioritize in chaos
• Excellent communication skills—you’re clear, concise, and solution-oriented

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with high-volume transaction environments – marketplaces or eCommerce experience is a plus
• Experience with tools like Stripe, Ramp, Rippling, or similar
• Exposure to sales tax, equity accounting, or technical accounting topics
