Bombora is looking for a NYC-based, highly energetic, detail-oriented, analytical professional with a background in Accounting or related fields to join our New York Finance team.
A passionate and effective communicator, this Staff Accountant will allocate their time between accounts payable and general accounting responsibilities. You will work on various areas of the accounting function such as maintaining certain general ledger accounts and reviewing accuracy of information in financial statements. In this role, responsiveness to inbound requests is critical and following up on accounts to ensure timely vendor payments. You must be a quick learner who can handle multiple projects while maintaining a Bombora spirit of friendly attitude and of being a team player who will collaborate across departments to tackle any potential issues.

You will….
- Manage accounts payable function by reviewing all contracts and maintaining them on Salesforce.
- Nurture a good relationship with vendors by making timely payments and adhering to contract terms.
- Review and code company credit card transactions based on accurate COA (chart of accounts), locations, departments, merchants, and employees.
- Prepare journal entries for accruals, pre-paids, and estimates.
- Manage monthly account reconciliations for select balance sheet and expense accounts.
- Assist finance team with monthly closing and year-end audit.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues such as duplicate invoices, data entry errors, setup/system errors, etc.
- Special ad hoc projects as assigned.
You have…
- One to three years of experience in Accounting/Finance or related field
- Methodical, highly organized, and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Quick learner and initiative
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Bill.com, Sage Intacct, Concur, and prior knowledge of SaaS considered a plus

Compensation Package
- The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 Actual compensation may vary and will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
