The role of the Sr. Manager Global Merchandise Planning for Outlet Lifestyle is to lead a team responsible for developing and executing a financial assortment architecture in collaboration with global merchandising teams that achieves company sales, margin & AUR and growth strategy objectives for all business units. This will include pre-season product line planning and in-season global trend analyses that inform the global assortment complexion. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Global Merchandise Planning, Outlet.
Hybrid role, based in 10 Hudson Yards, NY in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Merchandise Planning to...
• Lead team of 2 product experts overseeing Women's & Men's Footwear, Ready to Wear, Soft Accessories, Watches, Sunwear & Fragrance
• Define and rank bestsellers in collaboration with merchandising partners that bridge back to seasonal category sales, margin and aur targets
• Champion key product strategies and investments across markets, leveraging consumer focused analysis & strong business partnerships to influence business unit investment
• Create optimal sku count targets that fuel productivity benchmarks by category, silhouette and product lifecycle by season
• Guide the team in building short & long range product targets based on current trends and overall strategy to achieve topline financial goals
• Provide volume assumptions for silhouettes and key launches to support sourcing & capacity planning
• Recommend actionable strategic plans in reaction to sales trend that inform end of life and inventory re-routing and sharing across markets, or global chase opportunities based on early reads to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
• Support in shared team deliverables such as recapping, team projects

• 6+ years of experience in planning, buying, strategy, or business analytics in the retail industry or related field
• 2+ years of people management experience preferred

• Superior written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with senior management
• Must demonstrate strong initiative; and agility to flex across shifting priorities and multiple projects
• Strong degree of accountability, and attention to detail
• Excellent Microsoft Excel / technical skills; experience in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience with MicroStrategy or other BI reporting tools is a plus
