ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Solutions Architect (Product) at Apex, you will be a vital part of the product organization where you will design and oversee the technical implementation of our front-end, API, and back-end service based products into our clients' operational ecosystems. This role requires a strong technical acumen and the ability to understand and analyze esoteric financial processes that take place between financial firms. We are seeking critical thinkers with strong problem-solving skills who can take a holistic approach to align our products with the unique needs of introducing broker-dealers, RIAs, and other financial partners.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design, oversee, and deliver product solutions through API integrations and backend services to drive customer experiences.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Compliance, Design, and Operations) to ensure technical feature implementations fit customers’ needs, and Apex's product vision. 

• Design the technical solutions that meet business and design requirements through product requirement documentation for engineering teams.

• Engage directly with SaaS clients post-sale to understand their technical operations and business requirements, leading their implementation journey and ensuring successful adoption of Apex's technology, while identifying opportunities for product innovation.

• Drive innovative product solutions from ideation through development and client delivery, while taking full ownership of deliverables and outcomes.

• Develop in-depth expertise in our technology stack, focusing on products for brokerage, advisory, and SaaS clients, with an emphasis on full product lifecycle management and user experience.

• Act as a key technical resource for both clients and internal teams, translating complex requirements into executable solutions.

• Provide holistic problem-solving that considers the entire operational context of brokerage, advisory, and banking.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required.

• 8+ years of prior work experience in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, sales engineering, or software engineering

• Experience working in a SaaS product-driven environment, contributing to both technical implementation and strategic product development.

• Experience in architecting, developing, and implementing solutions that leverage REST APIs and event message systems, with an emphasis on full product lifecycle integration and client-centric innovation.

• Experience in financial services technology, including brokerage, advisory, and banking operations, is required.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and microservices-based backend environments.

• Understanding of the rules and regulations that govern the financial services space; FINRA and the SEC in particular.

• Familiarity with brokerage and advisory business functions within the retail investor space.

• Ability to identify and consider nuanced operational and regulatory requirements when developing product solutions.

• Ability to take full ownership of solutions, including testing, documentation, and ongoing support.

• Strong command over Atlassian products (Confluence/Jira)

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, from technical teams, operations, to c-suite executives.

• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD processes, and monitoring tools is a plus.

Salary Range

$125,200-$156,500

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
