As a Software Engineer, Marketing, you are responsible for working directly with our product team and marketing team stakeholders to build cutting edge websites using React. We take pride in our ability to handle a variety of tasks and come up with creative solutions for our teammates.
We are a small but scrappy engineering team that utilizes two-week sprint development cycles, peer code reviews and individual project ownership with React templates built on our own internally developed and maintained Design System and powered by our own CMS. We leverage our product and work alongside product managers and engineers to help innovate internally and enhance the experience of our own customers. We are always looking to adopt new technologies to innovate and enhance our web capabilities.
Our team is fully remote with the option to work out of our New York City Headquarters or DC Metro Offices.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust features for our web properties.
- Take ownership of feature development from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with goals and strategies.
- Implement new features that enhance user engagement, conversion rates, and overall website performance.
- Create responsive and visually appealing web pages that cater to a diverse audience, considering various devices, languages & screen sizes.
- Help conduct regular performance analysis and optimization of the website to ensure fast load times and smooth user interactions.
- Implement best practices for SEO
- Conduct thorough testing of developed features to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring a high level of quality and reliability.
- Consider internationalization and localization on every step of the development process
What You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years experience in modern Web Development
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to operate well in a team environment
- Proven experience in full stack development
- Familiarity with template development
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Some Experience with back-end development using server-side and/or scripting languages (Node.js, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and agile development methodologies.
- Experience working with Designers in bringing static mockups to life
- Experience with Mobile Web Development and responsive web design
Bonus Points
- Experience with and database management systems (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Experience with web animations and libraries
- Familiarity with Internationalization technologies and web practices along with GDPR compliance
- Exposure to project management software such as Jira, Asana, etc…
- Knowledge of web security best practices and performance optimization techniques.

Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision benefits; life insurance; short term and long-term disability; 401(k) retirement plan; and vacation and sick leave. Successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
Annual Base Pay Range
$109,350—$224,500 USD
