The Windows Agent team at Datadog serves as a Windows center of excellence with a mission to make Datadog Agent a fully supported offering on Windows and ensure that the Windows customers getting started with Datadog have a great landing experience with Windows infrastructure monitoring. The group is responsible for delivering capabilities to best onboard Windows Agent customers onto the Datadog platform, that is, making the Datadog Agent easy to install, deploy, and configure on Windows hosts. The team implements native Windows integrations to collect data for system, network, and security monitoring; extending them to services and technologies that customers run on Windows. Our goal is to provide the best out-of-the-box experience and comprehensive observability offering on Windows without requiring users to deploy additional agents or libraries in their stacks.The team provides the needed support to other Agent teams in delivering a reliable, performant, and lightweight Agent on Windows.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Windows Agent team, you will work on features and integrations to give Datadog users who run Windows the best possible experience. You will:

  • Write code for new features and bug fixes in the open-source Datadog Agent
  • Design, implement, and share ownership of Windows Agent-based integrations
  • Implement features to make the Datadog Agent easy to install, configure, and manage on Windows platform
  • Develop and maintain Windows Agent MSI Installers
  • Own new feature development end-to-end from ideation to implementation
  • Be a driving force in product decisions and plan the most important projects to work on next with your team
  • Investigate performance bottlenecks and write optimized resource-efficient software



  • You have been building applications and tooling for 5+ years and know the systems you've worked on in depth
  • You have experience building and shipping software that runs on Windows
  • You have significant systems programming experience with the Windows API
  • You have strong Windows OS internals knowledge
  • You have significant experience in one or more languages: Golang, C/C++, or Python
  • You have experience working with and developing applications that utilize the Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) ecosystem to collect OS and security signals
  • You have proven ability to own and deliver features in a fast-paced, high-growth environment to build new products
  • You are motivated by solving problems for our customers first and foremost and building beautiful products that our customers love
  • You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
