Transform POC data-science processes, ETLs, and queries into scalable, performant high-demand services

Integrate with a wide variety of third-party APIs and data sources to consume, process, and deliver targeting and tracking data across our network

Develop and maintain robust and performant software while working in a team and taking ownership of your individual contributions

Promote performance best practices and technical decisions that ensure our systems are capable of scaling as the business grows

Participate in code reviews and help ensure that code quality stays high.

Contribute to the identification and prioritization of technical debt.

About Your Qualifications:
You have a love for technology and problem solving, and a strong desire to deliver quality software as quickly as possible; the ideal candidate also has experience in the online advertising space.
You have:

4+ years in a backend web development position
-
Knowledge of modern Java and concurrency mechanisms; the ideal candidate also has experience with Python.

Familiarity with the online advertising ecosystem, ideally touching DSP, SSP or DMP platforms and technologies. The ideal candidate has been directly involved in building or implementing ad-tech solutions in the past.

Strong knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL architectures, distributed caching, and application performance tuning
-
Experience with BigQuery and other big-data technologies preferred

Insight into system design and architecture fundamentals for both applications and data
-
Experienced with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
-
Understanding of SDLCs and CI/CD as well as a test driven mindset
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field or foreign equivalent
