ABOUT THE ROLE
Peloton's Quality Engineering team is looking for experienced, well-rounded Senior Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) to work on our award-winning Peloton products - Peloton Bike & Peloton Tread & Peloton Row. In this role, you will directly take responsibility for the quality of the product and work closely with Software/Hardware developers, Product Management and help teams cultivate a quality mindset, coach and advocate for quality while assisting teams with software testing practices.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Provide technical leadership in the design, development and implementation of automation frameworks
- Architect and implement test tools and frameworks that will help us release with confidence
- Continuously improve test processes and tools to enhance test coverage, reliability, and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in automation testing and implement relevant updates to the testing processes.
- Analyze test results and metrics to identify areas for improvement in both the product and the automation framework.
- Work with teams to understand test automation gaps and implement coverage
- Work with teams to make testing an integral part of the software development process
- Coordinate testing efforts across teams to ensure delivery of high-quality features
- Assist in driving adoption of best practices in testing and maintainability
- Assist in mentoring and coaching
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 7+ years of QA experience, 5+ years in test automation including tools like Appium, Espresso.
- Hands on experience on creating mobile automation framework from scratch using Appium , Espresso
- Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts with any OO languages
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Github Actions).
- Experience working with engineers to collaborate on test automation scenarios
- Experience interacting with REST API for test data setup or testing
- Experience working in a CI environment
- Experience working with cross-functional scrum teams
- Ability to accomplish complex engineering task independently
BONUS
- Hands on experience with setting up and configuring Jenkins or CircleCI or GHA
- Experience interacting with REST API for test reporting
- Experience with performance and load testing tools like JMeter.
- Experience with developing and building test automation against APIs and web applications.
- Experience with configuring and using device farms like Firebase, Saucelabs or similar.
- Experience with Product analytics and Observability tools like Amplitude, Datadog and New Relic.
- Experience with Visual testing tools like Applitools or Percy.
- Experience with release management.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. $151,574—$204,626 USD
